LOCAL IMMIGRATION PARTNERSHIP

The Local Immigration Partnership began in September 2009, was led by the City of Sault Ste. Marie, and made possible by funding from Citizenship and Immigration Canada. The Local Immigration Partnership created a collaborative community effort to research and develop recommendations regarding the settlement and integration of newcomers to Sault Ste. Marie. The end result for the preliminary phase of the partnership has consisted of a community based Local Immigration Partnership advisory committee and a settlement and integration strategy for the City of Sault Ste. Marie.
